Blue Trial Set ─ Unsure where to start? The "Standard 5 Colors" Test Kit chosen by Pros
"I want to try Fukaumi Shouten's Gosu (blue underglaze), but with so many types, I don't know which one to choose."
For those who feel this way, we have carefully selected the "5 Essential Colors" that form the foundation of Arita ware from our lineup of 72 varieties available in our online store to create this starter set.
When the clay changes and the fire changes, the expression of blue changes infinitely.
We cannot accept custom blending orders online. That is exactly why we want you to first test compatibility with your own kiln using these "Standard 5 Colors" and experience the overwhelming quality of Fukaumi Shouten.
[Fukaumi Shouten's Gosu: 3 Promises]
- No hand-grinding needed: Because it is micro-pulverized down to the limit (1μm) using a stone mill, you can paint smoothly right out of the box.
- High-concentration paste: Packed in a thicker state than commercially available products. You can dilute it to your preferred shade and use it generously.
- Professional quality: It is the exact same quality as the "Arita Blue" loved by Living National Treasures and kilns that present to the Imperial Family.
[5-Color Set carefully selected by professionals (20g each, 100g total)]
We have selected 5 colors rich in variety to help you discover the profound depth of blue.
- Kara Gosu No.1 (Chinese Blue No.1): A traditional deep blue color.
- Kyu Kodai Gosu (Old Ancient Blue): A calm, classical blue.
- Kaiheki (Sea Blue): A vivid, bright blue.
- Kodai No.3 No.3 (Ancient No.3 No.3): An elegant blue with a greenish tint.
- Sumi Gosu (Ink Blue): A modern blackish color.
