We at Fukaumi Shouten have developed countless colors together with professional potters in Arita. However, we cannot accept custom blending orders online.
That is why we have prepared this professional test kit, allowing you to find your "ideal color" with your own hands from our largest selection in Japan (30 types of Gosu).
[Fukaumi Shouten's Gosu: 3 Promises]
- No hand-grinding needed: Because it is micro-pulverized down to the limit (1μm) using a stone mill, you can paint smoothly right out of the box.
- High-concentration paste: Packed in a thicker state than commercially available products. You can dilute it to your preferred shade and use it generously.
- Professional quality: It is the exact same quality as the "Arita Blue" loved by Living National Treasures and kilns that present to the Imperial Family.

[Dilution guide taught by professionals]
Fukaumi Shouten's Gosu is extremely concentrated. Please adjust with water (or your preferred binding agent) according to the shading you want to express.
- Line drawing (Outlining): Gosu 1 to Water 3 (approx.)
- Thick Dami (Washes): 1 teaspoon of Gosu to 80ml of Water (approx.)
- Thin Dami (Washes): 1 teaspoon of Gosu to 250ml of Water (approx.)
- *For Sabi-gosu (high iron content) washes, please use "half" the amount of water mentioned above as a guide.
